Private Health Funds

Play My Way is registered with our industry's professional association and has a Medicare provider number. You may be able to claim with your private health fund for eligible services, depending on your level of extras cover. Play My Way will issue you a receipt following each appointment to claim through your health fund. Rebates can vary between health funds, so please contact us directly to find out the code which will match your appointment, so you can determine rebate levels before you meet with us. Health funds usually pay a rebate on Assessment services, which could be helpful if you need a diagnosis or are looking to acquire funding and further support for your child.

Medicare

Play My Way Speech Pathology is a Medicare-registered provider and eligible for rebates under the The Chronic Disease Management program (previously the Medicare Enhanced Care Program).  Your GP or paediatrician can refer you for up to 5 sessions per year for assessment and therapy services. The EPC plan is designed for individuals with complex needs and allows for multidisciplinary assessments and interventions. Contact your GP to determine if you or your child qualify for the EPC plan.

Children With Autism Initiative

Autistic Spectrum Disorder assessments and interventions for children can be covered by Medicare through a referral from a pediatrician or psychiatrist. Eligible children up to 15 years of age may receive up to 4 allied health assessment sessions and a total of 20 allied health services, provided a treatment and management plan is in place before the age of 13. Contact your consultant physician to determine eligibility for Medicare rebates for speech language pathology, psychology, and occupational therapy services.
